A Landscape and Snow management industry leading company in North East PA is seeking to hire a Landscape Construction Foreman to supervise and perform high quality landscape installations, as well as to help lead the growth of the landscape construction division.

We service hundreds of clients that own or manage commercial and multi-unit housing properties along with high end residential clientele. We concentrate the delivery of our services on sustainably focused landscape and snow solutions. We do this by building out the best inhouse team and service providers that care for our clients with a sense of urgency and professionalism. We are gearing up for growth and expanding in current and new markets. With this growth we are looking for someone with high level landscape installation skills that thrives off of a fast pace improvement-based business model. This position will serve as a partner and resource to the Landscape Construction Division Manager and Designer.

Duties and requirements: This position would include all aspects of landscape construction: Five years minimum commercial / residential landscape construction experience, valid driver license and clean DMVR, experience installing interlocking concrete and natural stone walls, walks, patios and other landscape features, experience with proper planting techniques for tree, shrubs, perennials, groundcover, seed, sod and perennial plugs, the ability to read plans and blueprints.

Further requirements include: Direct, oversee and participate in work performed by the team. This is a very hand’s on position and you will be expected to work alongside team members. Ensure quality of work with no rework. Meet SNH standards on each assignment following proper SOPs. All work completed at or below budget. Understand and meet production and project scheduling deadlines without sacrificing quality and customer service. Ensure safe work environment with no accidents through training, supervision and proper PPE. Perform proper paperwork and internal communications. Use software to track and enter materials usage and crew hours. Review and complete project documentation in an organized and timely manner. Thorough and effective communication with supervisor and team members. Develop personal skills and the skills of team members. Attend training classes and seminars as requested to help grow themselves and the landscape division. Effective customer communication. Connecting with the customer to answer question and solve problems as appropriate. Take care of SNH equipment. Maintain and care for company equipment, tools and vehicles. Perform snow operations in the off season. Ability to work OT, weekends and in inclement weather. Landscape Industry Certification is a plus.

Through partnership with the Landscape Construction Division Manager / Designer and senior leaders, the construction foreman will play an integral part of leading the charge in building out the construction division with a focus on future growth, as well as maintain a focus on building a win / win culture with a team mentality. Must meet a desire to achieve personal and professional goals and to train and motivate others to achieve their personal and professional goals.

Relevant Work Experience

-5 years minimum residential / commercial landscape construction experience.

-Valid driver’s license and clean DMVR

-Experience installing interlocking concrete and natural stone walls, walks, patios and other landscape features.

-Experience with proper planting techniques for trees, shrubs, perennials, groundcover, seed, sod and plugs.

-Ability to read plans and blueprints with basic computer skills.

-Well organized with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi task.

-Self-motivated and possessing strong leadership skills

-Detail oriented and quality driven.

-Must be proactive with the ability to problem solve to minimize delays, errors and risk to keep the project on time and within budget.

-Must be able to work independently and as a team member.

-Able to work OT, weekends and in inclement weather.

-Landscape Industry Certification a plus.

Full time, starting wage of $18 to $26 per hour dependent upon experience along with fringe benefits. Bonus potential based on performance.
